Charlie Anderson Memorial Golf Outing

The Charlie Anderson Memorial Golf Outing is an annual fundraising event held to honor a man who gave much to our community.  The 23rd annual event was held at Thornapple Pointe Golf Club on Wednesday, June 9, 2010.  Charlie was a founding member of the Forest Hills Educational Foundation in 1986. He was a man of achievements both professionally and in civic endeavors. Committed to enhancing education in our community, Charlie served on the Forest Hills Board of Education for eight years; then four years as president of the Educational Foundation, followed by ten years as a trustee of the Educational Foundation.

Save the date:  The 24th Annual Charlie Anderson Memorial Golf Outing will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2011.

The Gala

On May 6 we celebrated the people, the talent, and the accomplishments that make Forest Hills a wonderful environment in which students can develop their potential.  We also honored three highly distinguished award recipients: 

Paul Boeklins, Teacher of the Year Award

This award is given to one teacher each year who is chosen by the administrative leadership based on nominations by principals of all the district schools.

Bill Heneveld, Merit Award

This award honors an outstanding Forest Hills graduate who exemplifies personal success as well as community involvement.

Jeff VandenBerge, Legacy Award

This award honors an outstanding Forest Hills graduate who came back to put down roots inthe community, and whose life work gives back to the people of West Michigan.
