We are pleased to announce that the 1st FH Europe Foundation Annual Network Meeting is set to take place in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, from the 10th to the 12th of November 2023 (2nd weekend of November).

The Annual Network meeting will focus on two key segments:

1. Pre-meeting online webinars

With a dedication to boosting health literacy about inherited lipid conditions and extending our reach to as many individuals as possible, we are excited to host 4 disease-specific webinars before the main event. These webinars will be specially curated to delve into the science and pertinent advancements concerning FH, HoFH, LP(a), and FCS.

The webinars will take place online via Zoom and are open to the public, so everyone is welcome to join, learn, and contribute.

2. Hybrid meeting in Amsterdam

The heart of the event will take place in person in Amsterdam, with the main sessions and workshops on Saturday and Sunday thoughtfully designed in a hybrid format, allowing participation both in-person and online.

Please note that the Hybrid Meeting in Amsterdam is exclusive to FH Europe Foundation Network leaders/members, Patient Ambassadors and other invited Participants; it is not open to the general public.
10 – 12 November 2023 (Friday-Sunday)
We are looking forward to seeing you in Amsterdam and online!

Theme

Together, engaged for change!
With this event slogan, we will be celebrating the achievements of FH Europe Network and our community. We are emphasising the importance of our collaboration, through the transition from FH Europe to FH Europe Foundation. Simultaneously, it is a call to action to build and drive engagement. Our aim is to engage others and increase their involvement – as an individual, as a family group and as a community. In this way we will create the positive change we strive for on behalf of the patients and citizens we represent.
The visual theme is the Tree of Hearts by Sara Otter, our Artistic Ambassador. It depicts beautifully what FH Europe Foundation stands for. The diversity and the sheer number of people affected by familial lipid conditions, like FH, HoFH, elevated Lp(a) and FCS.

The tree, just like any family tree, symbolises the aspects of genetics and inheritance which play a key role in how these conditions are passed on. Over 1.6 billion people of different ages, races, sex, and nationality, are represented by hearts of different colours, shapes and sizes. The hearts also symbolise the impact of the conditions on those close to the patient and can relate to heart (CVD) risk factors.
The Tree of Hearts combines different colours associated with lipids in the bloodstream, from yellow, orange, pink and red. These colours are all vibrant, positive, rich and engaging, just like the community we are …always together, engaged for change!
