FHEF November 2025 Edition Heart Beat Newsletter

November brought strong progress for FH Europe Foundation, with impactful advocacy, a successful Annual Network Meeting and growing recognition for prevention-focused projects.

FH Europe Foundation News:

  • Annual Network Meeting (Zagreb): Over 100 participants came together under the theme “Together, engaged for change!”, strengthening collaboration across the network.
  • European Parliament Event: FHEF joined policymakers and experts to address Europe’s cardiovascular health crisis and highlight prevention needs.
  • IC PerMed & EP PerMed Conference: FHEF and Young Ambassadors contributed to discussions on personalised medicine in cardiovascular care.
  • European Parliament Event Report Published: Full summary of the recent EU-level cardiovascular event is now available.
  • WHO Dyslipidaemia Guideline Group: FHEF’s CEO joined the WHO Dyslipidaemia Guideline Development Group, ensuring inherited lipid disorders are represented in global guidance.

  • Ambassadors actively contributed at the Annual Meeting as speakers, workshop hosts and performers — including the youth play “Hearts of Gold – Lipids & Life.”
  • Several ambassadors joined the Patient Advocacy Academy to strengthen advocacy and policy-engagement skills.

  • PERFECTO: Featured in the JACARDI newsletter for its prevention-focused work in paediatric FH screening, communication models and equity in cardiovascular care.
  • FH-EARLY: Showcased at the EP/IC PerMed Conference as a model for integrating patient perspectives into personalised medicine research.

  • New Members: FH China and Corazón Sin Fronteras (Spain) joined the network, expanding global reach and community engagement capacity.
  • FHchol Austria: received a €10,000 donation from SPAR and UNIQA to support FHkids screening and national awareness activities.
  • Global Heart Hub: The 5th Unite Summit gathered over 200 participants and focused on women’s cardiovascular health.
